Having worked on several projects providing services for children on the Autistic Spectrum, we are familiar with the relevant standards and requirements for the design of such projects which provide respite care for parents. These schemes incorporated dedicated residential provision with associated specialised schooling along with recreational areas. With the nature of the service provision, the accommodation included specific nurse and staff areas as well as sensory rooms. Many of these facilities are still in successful operation following our involvement from planning stage through to handover (including a site opening by HRH Princess Royal.)
